En Internet las rutas se anuncian como prefijos: un sistema autónomo comunica a sus vecinos por BGP que puede entregar tráfico para, por ejemplo, 49.224.0.0/14. Esta herramienta busca un prefijo en nuestra copia diaria de la tabla de enrutamiento global y muestra tres cosas:
- Anuncios exactos: qué AS origina exactamente ese prefijo. Varios orígenes (MOAS) son normales en servicios anycast y algunas redes multihomed; en otros casos, sospechosos.
- Rutas que lo cubren: anuncios menos específicos que lo contienen. El tráfico sigue la ruta más específica; la que lo cubre importa si la más específica desaparece.
- Rutas más específicas: anuncios dentro del prefijo, que pueden pertenecer a otras redes (clientes, o un secuestro).
Para cada ruta anunciada también se comprueba RPKI: si una ROA autoriza su AS de origen.
La tabla es la vista del colector de rutas de APNIC. La mayor parte de la tabla global se ve igual desde cualquier lugar, pero una ruta filtrada antes del colector no aparece.
Preguntas frecuentes
¿Por qué no aparece mi /24 y sí un /16?
Sus direcciones se anuncian como parte del bloque mayor y nadie anuncia el /24 por separado. Es lo normal para la mayoría de clientes de un operador.
¿Qué es un secuestro por prefijo más específico?
Alguien anuncia un prefijo más largo dentro de su espacio de direcciones. Como los routers prefieren la ruta más específica, el tráfico va hacia él. RPKI con una longitud máxima estricta invalida esos anuncios.
¿Puedo introducir una sola dirección?
Sí. La herramienta muestra la ruta anunciada más específica que la contiene.
